This implementation illustrates the package's capability to generate and handle large true color composite images constructed directly from the MODIS Level1B data or MOD09 land products.

What you're going to see is not just another shot taken with a camera,
not even a good one ... |
The images presented here are the result of a complex process, combining the most recent and advanced techniques in computing and remote sensing sciences. While you're looking at these pretty images, enjoy the view, but never forget the long path it takes to go from a raw satellite measurements (*) to a single colored pixel on your screen (**).
(*) number proportional to the intensity of the sunlight reflected by an
area of the Earth's atmosphere or surface.

Elles sont au contraire le résultat d'un processus complexe faisant appel aux dernières techniques informatiques et physiques pour amener la mesure d'un point à bord du satellite (*) à la visualisation d'un pixel couleur sur votre écran.(**)
