Career
- 2006-present: Associate Professor, Physics Department - Faculté des Sciences et Tecnhologies, Université de Lille, Laboratoire d'Optique Atmosphérique (Villeneuve d'Ascq, France).
- 2004-2006: Postdoctoral position, Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado, USA.
- 1999-2003: Doctoral position, Research assistant and teacher in physics, Université Blaise Pascal (Clermont II), Laboratoire de Météorologie Physique, France.
Activities
My research interests are cloud processes and cloud radiation
interaction, remote sensing of cloudy atmosphere. I work mainly on the
characterization of 3D cloud structures from satellite,
using multi-angle passive measurements in the oxygen-A absorbing bands,
in synergy with active measurements. I am also interested by the complex
variability of surface solar irradiance due to clouds.
Methods
- Exploitation of A train measurements
- Retrieval algorithm of cloud parameters from satellite remote sensing
- Radiative transfer: successive order of scattering approach, Monte-Carlo radiative transfer
- Exploitation of pyranometer and pyrheliometer measurements
