Zhenhai Liu

Zhenhai Liu received the B.S. degree in Electronic Information Science and Technology from the University of Science and Technology of China at Hefei in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree in Applied Optics from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Hefei, China, in 2018.


From 2018 to 2020, He was an assistant professor with Anhui Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics (AIOFM), Hefei Institutes of Physical Science (HIPS), CAS, and has been an associate professor with HIPS since 2020. He has successively served as deputy chief designer of the Particulate Observing Scanning Polarimeter (POSP) onboard Chinese GaoFen-5 (02) and DQ-1 satellites, and in charge of the POSP sensor and the Polarized Scanning Atmospheric Corrector (PSAC) onboard Chinese Huanjing Jianzai-2 (HJ-2) A/B satellites photoelectric detection electronic system and level-1 product developments as well as the associated Cal/Val and in-orbit performance evaluation activities. His research interests include polarization detection techniques, remote sensor data processing and calibration methods, the design and development of polarization remote sensing instruments. In addition, He has been in charge of one foundation project, and published several papers in SCI/EI journals as the first/corresponding author.
